"I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man." - Thomas Jefferson
You can be assured the conspiracy theorists and war advocates will both be all over this news.
Don't you think you should read the article you reference? The weapons were pre-1991, ergo they were bought and provided by the U.S. in an effort to help Saddam be a western force in the Middle East.
This is likely why the current administration isn't making such a big deal about it. The news isn't that big. Plus any article that is using Santorum as their key source is suspect.
Rumpus, to your points:I read all the articles I reference. I don't see how it matters whether or not these weapons were pre-1991. The point is that they are weapons of mass destruction. What I'd like is for you to prove to me that America bought those weapons for Saddam. Because even pre-1991, chemical weapons were banned internationally. The reason the admin doesn't make a big deal out of this, @s, is because they've moved on.Besides, to this war's opponents, no WMDs that they'll find will be the 'right' WMDs.
I do agree Rocketman... there will be no pleasing of anyone no matter what is found. Those opposed to the war will cry conspiracy to any findings and those in support of the war don't need any proof.
